Renee says: ”This remarkable pendant, fresh from the studio, combines everything I love in a single piece of jewellery. Top Component: 1800’s era Antique Button. Bottom: Brass “”V” shaped component. Set as always in solid sterling silver and shown on a silver chain, which is included with the piece. I have “Colour Washed” the components in rich shades of pink. green, blue, and red, then burnished/rubbed back to achieve an old world patina. Using the “Colour Wash” technique, I can infuse antique metal pieces with lasting color, transforming their typically bare surfaces into something vibrant and unique. This pendant that will never date or go out of style, truly “wearable history.” Scroll thru’ images for up close peek at another one of a kind treasure, fresh from the studio!”

“Everything you expect in bespoke, one of a kind jewellery.”

Rave Review:

“As a fashion and style blogger, nothing excites me more than discovering designers doing amazingly creative things. And when those “things” are stunning accessories that make a woman feel good every time they wear them, then that’s a winning combination. That’s what I love about Reneé Blackwell’s pieces.” Nikki Parkinson

Antique Buttons:

Most Antique buttons were manufactured in Europe by master craftsmen and are beautifully detailed and well made. The buttons I’ve used in this collection are a combination of metals such as steel, silver, copper, pewter or brass. I have sourced the buttons in France, England and South America, hand selected for their uniqueness & interest. I have “Colour Washed” the buttons with a permanent metal paint, which is similar to an enamel.
