Renee says: “Charming black with gold fleck vintage Czechoslovakian buttons, which I’ve set as always in solid sterling silver. I have dangled these beauties from my newer ‘hammered/textured’ sterling silver ear wire. These are what I consider to be medium length earrings. The black buttons are a great and interesting shape, and I LOVE the gold fleck detail! Scroll thru’ images of these one of a kind treasures for up close peek.”

Rave Review:

I received a lovely pair of earrings from my sister. They came from Renee Blackwell Design, Queensland, Australia. They are so very elegant, so classy that they will be my go-to earrings. I have known Renee for many years and have other pieces she has made, and they are the most unique and special pieces that I own. When I wear them, I always get the nicest compliments! Janet

About Vintage Czechoslovakian Glass Buttons:

The majority of glass buttons made during the 20th century were made in what is now Czechoslovakia, handmade by skilled button makers. In 1918 to mid 1940’s era, popular styles of glass buttons include pictorial, cut crystal and realistic which is like pictorials. Art Deco styles started to appear during the Art Deco period. Through the years the button production slowed, especially during WW2, and then started again and skilled button makers refined their skills. Some of the most beautiful, colorful glass buttons came from Czechoslovakia. Today many vintage glass buttons are referred to as Czech glass.
