Renee says: ”I have wanted to release a collection of petite antique button pendants for a while, and here they are! By petite, I mean much smaller than most of the antique buttons I have used in the past. The buttons in this collection are about the size of an Australian 1.00 coin, see photos for size reference. I’m calling this piece: “Woman in Hat” a uniquely charming & delightful piece. I have “Colour Washed” the button in rich shades of blue, green & black, then rubbed back to achieve an “old world” look/patina. Set as always in solid sterling silver, this can be worn with the leather cord (included), silver chain, cuff or pearls. A pendant that will never date or go out of style, truly “wearable history.” Scroll thru’ images for up close peek at another one of a kind treasure, fresh from the studio!”

Length: 1.5 inches   38 mm   See photo of pendant next to Australian 1.00 coin for size reference.

Includes black leather cord as shown in photos.

Rave Review:

“When you buy a piece of Renee Blackwell jewellery, you’re not just buying something pretty to accessorize an outfit with, you’re buying a story.  I love how each element in Renee’s pieces has a story — a history, a providence, and that the final piece she designs creates a new story from the curated elements she uniquely brings together.  Renee’s design aesthetic and eye for beauty is so well honed, you feel like you’re wearing a little bit of art that happens to be gorgeous!” – Jill   Sunshine Coast, Australia

Antique Buttons:

Most Antique buttons were manufactured in Europe by master craftsmen and are beautifully detailed and well made. The buttons I’ve used in this collection are a combination of metals such as steel, silver, copper, pewter or brass. I have sourced the buttons in France, England and South America, hand selected for their uniqueness & interest. I have “Colour Washed” the buttons with a permanent metal paint, which is similar to an enamel.
