“Old World Charm” Antique Button & Pearl Pendant #OWC

1 in stock

Renee says: “Beautiful “old world charm” is the best way to describe this pendant. I have “Colour Washed” an antique Brass button in rich hues of pumpkin and black, then rubbed/burnished back to show the pattern. Set as always in solid sterling silver and featuring a white fresh water pearl, this piece works well with a gold or silver chain, or black cord as shown in photos. I am including the cord with the pendant, as it works really well. I guarantee you will love this piece as much as I do! Click on images for up close peek.”

Length: 2.25 inches

One of a kind. Does not include chains, but does include brown cord as shown in photos.

Rave Review:

“I have been a fan of RBD since Renee custom built my first piece, a treasure necklace, way back. I have since steadily built my RBD collection, to the delight of the many women (and men, even my own husband) who ALWAYS comment when I wear anything of hers, which is often! Her collections are a reflection of the way she sees the world, knowing what her clients want and a prodigious talent for creative design. Given I have only sons, I worry who will get the collection eventually any prospective daughters-in-law had better be keepers!” Marg

Antique Picture Buttons
Making their appearance in the mid 1800’s era, Picture Buttons became fashionable by the late 1870’s and were made until about the 1920’s. Most were manufactured in Europe by master craftsmen and are remarkably beautiful and well made. A Picture Button is metal, sometimes a combination of metals such as steel, silver, copper or brass. Many of these buttons have been given names, either when they were originally made or later as to identify them for collectors. Many Picture Buttons feature designs that depict fables, myths, operas, scenes or popular items of the era. Picture Buttons are true miniature treasures from a bygone era.
