Blue/Green Antique Button & Leaf Pendant #RGL4

Renee says: “I have combined a beautiful antique button with the larger “rose gold” toned leaf, to create a most stunning statement pendant. Set as always in solid sterling silver, this piece can be worn with a silver chain/cuff, cord or pearls for versatility. (The leather cord as shown in first and last photo is included with the pendant.) I have “Colour Washed” the button in rich shades of green and blue, then burnished the colours back to achieve an “old world” patina. The resulting pendant is a piece I am thrilled with, and guarantee you will too. This is a piece that will never date or go out of style, become a treasured part of your jewellery wardrobe!”

Antique Picture Buttons:
Making their appearance in the mid 1800’s era, Picture Buttons became fashionable by the late 1870’s and were made until about the 1920’s. Most were manufactured in Europe by master craftsmen and are remarkably beautiful and well made. A Picture Button is metal, sometimes a combination of metals such as steel, silver, copper or brass. Many of these buttons have been given names, either when they were originally made or later as to identify them for collectors. Many Picture Buttons feature designs that depict fables, myths, operas, scenes or popular items of the era.

Rave Review:

Hi Renee, To say that I am addicted is probably an understatement and at last count I am care taking (as I consider that they will be pieces I will pass on to my daughters) over 30 pairs of stunning earrings and now two pendants. I am constantly stopped and asked about your pieces and it gives me much pleasure to tell them about the earrings and of course, you. Keep doing what you do because not only are the pieces beautiful but they are unique and make me feel truly happy when I wear them! Cheers, Ros
