Renee says: “Such a happy pair of earrings, guaranteed to put a smile on your face! The buttons are shiny, “cherry red” vintage 1940’s era Czechoslovakian, set as always in solid sterling silver. I’ve dangled these one of a kind delights from my new, medium length sterling ear wire. This ear wire is sleek and comfortable on the ears. There is a small amount of gold around the edges of the buttons, which have a nice pattern. Vintage button earrings…treasures from a by gone era to cherish today! About Vintage Czechoslovakian Glass Buttons:

The majority of glass buttons made during the 20th century were made in what is now Czechoslovakia, handmade by skilled button makers. In 1918 to mid 1940’s era, popular styles of glass buttons include pictorial, cut crystal and realistic which is like pictorials. Art Deco styles started to appear during the Art Deco period. Through the years the button production slowed, especially during WW2, and then started again and skilled button makers refined their skills. Some of the most beautiful, colorful glass buttons came from Czechoslovakia. Today many vintage glass buttons are referred to as Czech glass.

Rave Review:

I received a lovely pair of earrings from my sister. They came from Renee Blackwell Design, Queensland, Australia. They are so very elegant, so classy that they will be my go-to earrings. I have known Renee for many years and have other pieces she has made, and they are the most unique and special pieces that I own. When I wear them, I always get the nicest compliments! Jane
